It is our great pleasure to announce that Meguro UNESCO will have a New Year's party on January 20, 2001. We are planning interesting programs such as dancing, a Mongolian lute performance by friendship members, singing, a lottery, etc. We hope many of you will come with your family and friends and have a good time.

To apply: Please write “Learning Japanese: 30   Hours for Beginners” with your name,address,  phone number on a postcard or fax sheet and  send it to Meguro UNESO by Dec.23 (Sat.),   2000. If you'd like your children aged 2 or   above looked after, you should also write the   name, sex, and age of your children.

Campaign for Unused Postal Card ContributionsWe are collecting unused postal cards and also unused telephone cards all through the year to fund the Terakoya projects in India, Nepal, China and some other countries. The 6th Campaign will start on Jan. 15 and run through Feb. 15, 2001. The refund from one unused postcard is worth, for example, four notebooks and four pencils in Nepal. We'd like your kind cooperation.
