■ "Urgent collection of Contributions to Support Afghan Refugees"
THANKS to Reiko Kato, Yasuko Mizuta, Yuzuru Abe, Masako Tanaka, Volunteer Group "Ki", Graduate Group of Tokyo Metropolitan University-attached High School, Staff of Meguro UNESCO Japanese Language Classes for their contributions, and to the people who made donations at the venue of the UNESCO art exhibition (Total: \116,789)
(Report) On Oct. 3 we sent \52,321 via Yomiuri to support "Victims of the Sept. 11 Terrorist Attacks in U.S." To "Urgent Collection of Contributions to Support Afghan Refugees" of NFUAJ we sent \118,922 on Oct. 29, \102,706 on Dec. 14, \44,577 on Dec. 25. The total amounted to \318,526 as of Dec. 2001.

■Volunteers to Sort Collected Postcards Urgently Needed
The campaign for collecting miswritten or unused postcards to fund the World Terakoya Movement has been carried out, and the National Federation of UNESCO Associations in Japan (located in Ebisu) has received an enormous amount of cards from all over the country  about 700 boxes since the beginning of this year. Volunteers who could spend three hours (any time between 10:00 and 17:00) sorting collected cards are urgently needed. \1,000 will be paid for transportation. Your kind cooperation is solicited. Please inform NFUAJ of your participation at least one day in advance.
