Messages from Our Members

Original texts from the reply postcards for the General Assembly

Isamu Kawahara:  I am fortunately in good health and enjoying myself every day.
Kazumi Saito:  I always enjoy reading Meguro UNESCO’s newsletters.  The concerts and cultural activities are all so attractive, but I haven’t been able to spend my own time as I please, at least for a year or two, as I am frequently asked to baby-sit my grandchild.
Noritomo Suzuki:  Hi, everybody!  How are you doing?  I’m now absorbed in painting. Sitting on the bank of the Arakawa, I paint in oils from the morning till about three o’clock in the afternoon. Then I start working in the evening.   I work on weekends, too.  My theme is “the people’s lives”. So, good luck to you all!
Tomotaka Segawa:  I won’t be able to attend the General Assembly, for I have classes on Saturdays.  The exhibition of my own works will be held at Kawatoku in Morioka from June 5 ? 11.
Shoko Tanabe:  It is six years since I started looking after my husband. I hope to do my best, as I give my gratitude to all those who have supported me through these years.
Asa Nakajima:  I’m in my first year in graduate school at the Vienna Conservatory of Music.  I stayed in Japan this year, from March to April, to take part in the opera “Siegfried” performed by NHK Symphony Orchestra.  I’ll be back again in July for a chamber music concert, and an opera performance by Seiji Ozawa.

Welcome New Members!!
